Swiss Alpine Panorama Trail, Segment 22, #1 – Gruyères to Les Paccots. I’m hiking out of Gruyères and past La Maison de Gruyère, the cheese tour, and factory. Great overviews of the medieval, castle town of Gruyère as I ascend.
Swiss Alpine Panorama Trail, Segment 22, #2 – Gruyères to Les Paccots. I’m hiking along the Cheese Dairy Trail outside of Gruyère. These high alpine pastures feed the cows that make Gruyère d’Alpage (Alp Cheese). I also run across a Cuckoo bird. This is the famous bird whose call is imitated by cuckoo clocks.
Swiss Alpine Panorama Trail, Segment 22, #3 – Gruyères to Les Paccots. I’m leaving the Central Swiss Alps behind as I cross over to the Lake Geneva Area. You can still see the town of Gruyères.
